What is a Will?

A Will is a legal document that takes effect on death, distributing the assets to those named in the Will. It records the assets or belongings of a person’s Estate and names (or describes) the beneficiaries (eg. “my children”) who are to receive the Estate after the Will-maker’s death. A Will also appoints the person who is responsible for distributing the Estate - the Executor.
