Why is it so important that my Will is properly prepared?

Estate Planning advice and a properly prepared Will with a Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees Estate Planner will enable you to:

  • Choose a suitable Executor to distribute the Estate. That is someone you trust and who also has the necessary skills to undertake this responsible task
  • Give clear direction as to exactly how you wish to distribute property and assets as you wish, including personal property of sentimental value
  • Provide for future management of a family business or investment
  • Record your wishes for certain persons to be appointed guardians for minor children
  • Utilise strategies to minimise taxation and administration expenses when the Estate is being settled and finalised
  • Record special wishes, such as charitable donations or the establishment of bequests
  • Create Testamentary Trusts to protect assets for future generations
